You and your group members will pretend that you are employees of a newspaper in The-Land-Between-The-Mountains. You will create a newspaper based on the events that are occurring in The Gammage Cup. Each member is required to write an article. The newspaper can be created with the computer or simply with blank paper.
Type your article and post them onto this blog as a comment. This will allow you to cut and paste your articles onto your groups newsletter on Monday.

The Land Between The Mountains Gammage 880 -Big news!! Very big news!! Every village in The Land Between The Mountains will be in a competition starting tomorrow. Who ever is the merriest village out of all twelve villages will win our prized possession. The Gammage cup. Three of our members will travel to each of the twelve villages. Leaving The Gammage cup with the merriest village of all.
Our judges have set off yesterday and will be back with the results in a couple of days. They will be coming back without The Gammage cup.
They’re back!! They’re Back!! They have the results. The winner is Slipper-On-The-Water.
The Oh Them's have been recently outlawed. The outlaws shall be going to a little house on a knoll. They have been outlawed because they have painted their doors different colors, dress differently,made fun of Fooley, switched the paintings, and made fun of Co.'s poem.
Goodmorning Gammage!
Good morning Watersplash! We just received news that Mingy was captured by the Mushrooms/Hairless Ones and Gummy was poisoned. We believe that the Mushrooms are in the old mines and may attack us any minute. Curley Green and Muggles are at the knoll with injured Gummy and are in danger. Walter the Earl gathered an army of fifty and some medics but there are 300 Mushrooms. Go to Reedy’s house and meet Walter the Earl to join the army and fight against the enemies.

Since the first Spring Meeting it has been suggested by Geos' wife Eng.-Proper, decent Minninpin cloaks for everybody so we'll not feel ashamed" she quoted.
But the outlaws dare to disagree with them as Muggles stood up and tried to convince eveyone that if we changed the color we are on the inside wouldn't that be the same as cheating?
THE BATTLE
Early this cold fall morning Walter the Earl came back to Slipper on the water to tell Co. and Ltd. what happen. He told them that Mingy got stuck on the Sunset Mountains why he was spying on the mushrooms. Gummy went back to get Mingy but they threw a spear that was poisonous. Walter, Curly, and Muggles brought him back to their little house on the knoll. Once there Muggles used her ointment on Gummy while he was sleeping. Walter went back to his old village to tell Ltd. and Co. that invaders wee coming through the Sunset Mountains but they didn’t believe him cause he forgot the spears. So he left to find someone else. First he thought of Dingle but he wouldn’t help. Then he saw Spill then told him the story which he believed unlike Ltd and Co.
So if you want to join the battle meet at Reedy’s house. Even if your not a warrior we still need a medical staff. If you are a warrior come and fight.

Hairless Ones
Wednesday-Theres big news spreading through the Minnipins village.The news is that the hairless ones are planning an attack on the Minnipins. They carry poisoned spears with them,they wear brown ripped up clothes,and they smell really bad.Their spears have a red sticky poison on the tips of the spear.They also have this white stuff thats in this big black pot.They have a terrible stink to them,their heads are shaped like big,fat mushrooms.Their clothes are all ripped up and a wierd brown color.Their clothes such as the pants,are ripped.
The judges left to go see who wins the compotition.This is live from Ave. at SNOWDRIFT ON THE PRESS!!!
It was dawn when Mingy went to his rock to spy . Mingy was carrying a little piece of wax chalk and rote on the rock 200 mushrooms and still coming. Mingy's hands were getting sweaty and he slipped the mushrooms heard him and started to charge. Then he rote caught.The mushrooms all surrounded mingy and captured him.
THE "OH THEMS" OUTLAWED!!

At the meeting one morning they decide that they need to make the village as best as possible. They can improve the village by rooffing and pay for it out of the money box. Mingy dosn't like that idea. He thought that the money needs to be spent wisley. paying for rooffing would leave the people poor for the rest of the year. They need to use the money for the sick fund. Not for roofing the houses.
Later on in the meeting Geo. and Eng. thinks every one needs green doors and green cloaks. When they said that they meant that the "Oh thems" need to change the color of thier doors, cloaks.
The "Oh Thems" started to take a stand but get outlawed instead. So the "Oh Thems" outlaw slipper-on-the-water. when they get up to leave Mingy and Muggles dont leave imedietly, they wait a few seconds before going. When they do mingy leaves the money box there.
They have to leave as soon as posible. They decide to follow Gummy wherever he goes. They get all the necessities and hed to the docks to follow gummy to wherever he leads them. They load up on five boats, one in each, and head on there way.

Hairless Ones
Wednesday-The hairless ones are all so known as the Mushrooms. They are tall and hairless, they carry spears that are dipped in the poison. Their bellies are fat they have giant ears, they also can hear the faintest sounds. There is well over 200 of them. They have a horrible stink. When one of their men gets hit with the poison they have to go and get a big pot of white stuff. The white stuff takes the poison out of their skin so it doesn’t kill them. They tunnel through the mountains just to get to the minnipins village. They live in caves or old gold mines. They are seeking revenge on the minnipins. They wish to kill them.
THE LAND BETWEEN THE MOUNTAINS, WATERSPLASH- TODAY THERE WAS A COURT MEETING AGAINST THE “OH THEMS” AND APERANTLY THEY GOT OUTLAWED FROM SLIPPER-ON-THE-WATER. WE HAVE JUST GOT NEWS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN OUTLAWED FOR PAINTING THERE DOORS DIFFERENT COLORS THAN GREEN, QUESTIONING THE PERIODS, TAMPERING WITH THE MUSEM, TALKING BAD ABOUT FOOLEY, AND WERE DIFFERENT COLORED CLOTHES. WE WILL REPORT BACK IF WE GET ANY MORE NEWS.
OH MY GOSH JUST NOW IN A STUNNING EVENT THE OUTLAWS HAVE BEEN OUTLAWED FROM SLIPPER ON THE WATER BY THE DESENDANTS OF FOOLY THE FOOL HEARTED FOOL,THE PERIODS!Today the outlaws have their things and are now taking a tiring journey up the little trickle to the knoll at the base of the sunset mountains.
